Vacation planning

We are still trying to plan our vacation. However, until now we couldn't decide on the direction. Either head north and go camping in Sweden (my favorite) or south and escape from it all into an isolated mountain hut on a nice Alm in Austria. We will see what comes up maybe somebody wants to join for on of the activities -- or we come up with something completely new.

And now for something completely different.



Has somebody figured out if there will be a release of Gnome 2.30 for fedora 12 soon.  I just noticed that my laptop and my desktop no have different version of the gnome-shell (none of them 2.30 I think). However, i think when fedora 13 is out I will get it anyway.

Besides, this minor issue I wonder what an appropriate replacement for FB would be. The privacy issues there -- as paranoid as they might be -- are more and more irritating. On the other hand it is probably the most effective way to stay in touch with a large number of people when you moved to an other country. It allows for all this nonsense gossip and fun that happens on corridors and in cafes to happen over long distances. This here is different it requires more than 30 seconds, and also is much slower in interaction. Maybe I should have a look at Twitter at some point, but as far as I understands this lacks the interaction part a little bit.
